This is the briefing exactly as published on Aug 11, 2026. It is never edited afterwards, so figures and views in it are as of that date and may since have changed. It is a record, not current advice.
Three conviction upgrades and no kills — the portfolio is tightening, not widening.
CCJ upgraded 7 → 8 (highest conviction in the book). Uranium long-term contract price hit $94/lb — up 10% YTD and far above the $75/lb thesis invalidation floor. Q2 2026 revenue was down 7% YoY and adj. EPS fell 75% YoY, exactly as modeled from the Dukovany lapse. The thesis is playing out on schedule. With Westinghouse S-1 filed confidentially in July, a Cameco/DAE India supply deal signed for $1.9B, and HEU-to-LEU conversion contracts accumulating, the next 12 months are structurally better than Q2 suggested.
COGT upgraded 6 → 7. Q2 2026 brought a pro-forma cash balance of $865.9M — stronger than the thesis assumed — funded through late 2028 into early commercial launch. More importantly, a third NDA was submitted to the FDA on June 30, 2026 for bezuclastinib in advanced SM (AdvSM). Two NDAs now in active review, balance sheet fully backstopped: the binary risk has been de-risked materially.
LNG upgraded 6 → 7. Cheniere raised full-year 2026 guidance for the second consecutive quarter: $7.9–$8.4B adjusted EBITDA, $5.3–$5.8B distributable cash flow. Corpus Christi Stage 3 is >98% complete; Train 7 is nearing initial LNG production and tracking ahead of its guaranteed substantial-completion deadline. The cash return machine is accelerating.
All other positions affirmed without change in conviction. MU printed record $41.5B revenue with 84.9% gross margin; Q4 FY2026 is guided to $50B (~86% GM, ~$31 EPS). GSL held its $0.625/qtr dividend (invalidation trigger: not fired) with $3.2B contracted backlog over 3.3 years. INSW posted record Q2 with $79,000/day blended TCE and a $5.05/share special dividend payable September 24. KBR's Trinzic spin-off named leadership July 30 and won a $208M Army TAGM task order August 10 — separation remains on track for January 2027. SVRA's PDUFA extension to November 22, 2026 was confirmed as a major amendment for data review — no safety, efficacy, or manufacturing flags raised by FDA.
